In this three day intensive, Moon Do Bang teaches participants how to create the iconic Korean vessel. Participants will focus on the traditional techniques, starting with the cylinder form, including centering, opening the floor, and pulling even walls using 6 lbs of clay. Once the cylinder is mastered, the belly will be formed to create the iconic Moon Jar form. On the final day, we will cover trimming using the Korean trimming tools and techniques.

Availability: 20 spots.
Experience Level:
Participants should be comfortable centering and throwing basic cylinders
Participants should be able to center and pull 3 lbs of clay without assistance to be able to keep up with the curriculum
Clay is provided: throw fearlessly and commitment-free
Love what you throw? Keep your projects for an additional fee
How to Prepare and What to Bring:
Light morning refreshments will be provided and there will be a 1 hour break for lunch each day, feel free to bring your own lunch or visit a cafe or restaurant nearby!
Clay and throwing tools will be provided for use during the workshop.
Wear clothes and footwear that you can get a little muddy in.
We will provide an apron, but if you have a favourite one, feel free to bring that!
Lodging and firing service not included
